Hello everyone! This is Kathryn with Beautifully Bloomed!
I wanted to quickly chat about 3 ways to maximize your wedding floral budget
- Keep the guest list small. Okay, this might seem like an obvious one, but keeping your guest list shorter will help you save money on centerpieces. Normally, the reception is the most expensive part of your budget due to how many tables you might have to fill. When you cut that guest list, all of a sudden, the centerpiece needs are far fewer.
- Keep bouts/ corsages to a minimum. Another simple tip, but those elements of a floral budget add up FAST. Most bouts are $18 – $25 in price and corsages are $25 – $35. Let’s say you come from a traditional, neucular family. If you are wanting to give bouts and corsages to 2 Fathers, 4 Grandfathers, 2 Mothers, and 4 Grandmothers, we are looking at an additional $300. Not to mention your personal attendant, ushers, groomsmen, etc. I would recommend getting bouts for your groom and fathers. Then only getting corsages for your mothers. Unless someone is really hurt by not getting flowers – keep it simple. (And if they are insisting on flowers, you could always recommend them pay that portion of the bill)
- Select a venue that support both your ceremony and reception. It is much easier to reuse flowers if they are all in the same place. Extra costs can occur when florists are required to move flowers from one location to another. If you choose not to have a florist move things then you may run the risk of Aunt Marcy breaking the flowers or placing them in a different location than talked about.
Hopefully these 3 tips will help you maximize your floral budget!
Let me know if you have any questions.
