How to….. Find the Right Photographer (from a floral standpoint).
Another week of How tos! This week I want to talk about how to find the right photographer from a floral standpoint. Now, these points are not something you might automatically think about, so that is why I want to lay it out for yah.
1st – Editing: Editing can be a tricking subject. There are so many ways to edit – light and airy, dark and moody or somewhere in between. Wherever you fall, does the photographer still capture the beauty of the flowers well? You would hate to spend money on a certain terracotta rose all for it to look a little orange in the photos.
2nd – Does the photographer love flowers too? Do you see a lot of flowers featured on their website and/or socials? You might be thinking – so what? Well, you want a photographer who captures those little details throughout the wedding.
3rd – Does the photographer work well with other vendors? As a florist, we tend to provide flowers to the photographer for sweet “detailed” shots. Do they communicate well to create works of art or do they wish to do everything themselves the day of?
Now, these are only my recommendations based on the floral side. You can have your own opinions, but these three things are what I would look out for in a wedding photographer.
