Hello all! Kathryn with Beautifully Bloomed here!

Hello all! Today we are interviewing Morgan with The W Photography. Morgan is one of my all time favorite wedding photographers. She is so sweet and really takes “true to life” photos. Today she will teach us the 3 ways to maximize your wedding photography budget. Check it out and then visit her website here.
- Add a second photographer! Don’t think twice about adding a second photographer to your wedding package, you’ll want to do it. Yes it’s more money, but what it boils down to is more memories and emotions captured— it’s roughly 50 additional images per hour! Another positive of adding a second photographer is grabbing different angles of the bride walking down the aisle and the grooms reaction. I know what you’re thinking, one photographer can flip flop back and forth between the two just fine, right? That is true, but often times split second emotions or tear wipes are missed if there’s only one photographer. The wedding reception is another great place to have that second photographer. The second will be looking to photograph guest interactions, candid moments or family emotions during toasts.
- Have a first look! From a photographers perspective, first looks make perfect sense. They will make your wedding day run smoother and feel more relaxed. Having a first look allows for all formal portraits (bride and groom, family and bridal party) to be done before the ceremony. This allows for everyone to go right into the cocktail hour + reception, following the ceremony. The biggest bonus about having a first look is, it will give you roughly an extra hour of photography coverage. Yes, you heard that right!
- Stage a sparkler exit with closest family and friends! Don’t have the budget for your photographer to stay until your exit? No worries, you can stage one! Grab some sparklers, your bridal party or family and have them make a sparkler tunnel at the end of your photography coverage. The outtake— some fun photos!
Thanks Morgan!
