Hey all! Kathryn the flower farming, florist here!
I wanted to quickly write a blog post about starting your own business. Although, I still have a young business, I know it was very difficult to start on my own and I’d love to share what helped me the most on my start.
The 3 best books for starting a business: (in no particular order)
- Millionaire Success Habits by Dean Graziosi. I thought this book was great for the foundation of any business. You cannot start a business without starting the good habits of owning a business first. This book lays out “successful” habits to put into place NOW to help you in whatever your next venture might be (owning a business, raising a family, etc).
- The Business Boutique by Christy White. Christy’s book outlines the HOW behind the business. How to start, what to do when you face problems. I thought this book was a great skeleton into starting your own business. Of course, each business it unique based on their individual needs, but the frame work can be relatively the same, so add this book to your list!
- Total Money Makeover by Dave Ramsey. Ahhh and last (but not least) a book about money. I wanted to include this in the list because if you are not making money… then it’s not a business. It’s a hobby. You need to be making money and I think, Dave Ramsey is one of the top educationalists who teaches about how to be profitable in all avenues in your life.
Again – there are plenty of books to go out and read, but hopefully this gives you the framework on what to start with when creating your own business.
