4 Most Popular Wedding Party Flower Options

Hey all! Kathryn – the lead designer here at Beautifully Bloomed!

I get lots of questions about what the wedding party flowers should look like. Not specifically what the flowers should look like, but who should get flowers and who shouldn’t. Well, this blog post is going to give you 4 of the most popular wedding party flower options!

  1. Full Party Flowers. Let’s chat about full party flowers first. What I mean is everyone that you want gets flowers. This could be all of your bridesmaids, groomsmen, fathers, ushers, mothers, grandparents, and so on. This is a great way to honor the people closest in your life. The only downside of this option is family flowers can really add up. Expect to spend upwards of half (50%) of your floral budget on the full party flowers.
  2. Only Party + Family. This option is probably one of the most popular options I see here at Beautifully Bloomed. The couple will order flowers for their party (bridal, groom, bridesmaids, groomsmen) and for their fathers/ mothers. They do not include their grandparents nor ushers. Expect to spend about 1/3rd (33%) of your floral budget on this option.
  3. Only Party. Some couples choose to only spend money on their bridal party. This could look like only the bridal bouquet, groom boutonniere, bridesmaids bouquets, and groomsmen boutonnieres. They choose not to give their parents flowers. This keeps the “personals” budget low to spend more on the rest of the wedding. Expect to spend 1/5th (20%) of your wedding flowers budget.
  4. Limited Party + Family. This is my personal favorite option. You may choose to only spend money on the bridal bouquet, groom’s boutonnieres, maybe a couple of bridesmaids bouquets, and the parents. This option could look like having the groomsmen and fathers dress in pocket squares instead of boutonnieres. Expect to spend 1/6th (15%)of your floral budget on this option.

Again – there are other combinations that might work the best for you and your significant other, but these are the most popular options I have seen.

Let me know if you have any questions!
