Hello all!
I know there are a lot of new people around here so I figured I would write a quick intro to me!
Let’s start with the basics! My name is Kathryn Miller. I started Beautifully Bloomed in the fall of 2019 as a causal side business. I starting growing my own flowers and the business flourished! By the Spring of 2021, I decided I wanted to try this full-time and here we are! I love what I do and specifically getting to serve my couples with some of the best service and product that Iowa has to offer! Some other fun facts are:
- Recently, I have retired my sweet husband from wedding work. As much as I love spending quality time together, I want him to have more rest days so now you will see me and potentially my gal, Melissa at wedding <3
- I have a dog (Stevie) and cat (Kevin) that are my world. Steve is a golden retriever that would smother you in love. Kev, on the other hand, has FOMO.
- Boutonnieres are my jam. I seriously love them. I think they are intricate and beautiful!
- I had a degree in Elementary Education. I taught in the public schools for a bit but went out on a limb and so thankful that I did.
- My favorite designs are centerpieces. Okay – favorite might be a lie. I love all design, but there is a special place in my heart for centerpieces. I love thinking about the family surrounding the table, joking, socializing, enjoying their time together and celebrating the happy couple.
- Our “micro flower farm” is just short of 2.5 acres. Sometimes I call in a farm but most days I call it my gardens. I originally thought that I would be a flower farming, going to farmers markets, type of gal, but my calling is weddings. I love them dearly.
- I designed my own arrangements for my wedding in 2019. Oh boy, please do not dig up those pictures. At the time, I was very proud of them but now….
